Artist Residency Turned Exhibit
For four weeks, internationally recognized artist Oliver Herring conducted a residency in Cuesta College’s Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery. Essentially transforming the gallery into his own studio, Herring produced works of art that are engaging and diverse, including elements from various practices: performance, photo and video, choreography, music and sound, and sculpture.
“Cuesta College students and community members engaged in his creative process, and joined in collaborative efforts,” said Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery Coordinator Emma Saperstein. “As Herring and his collaborators worked, they transformed the gallery through the accumulation of printed photographs, performance, sculptural residue, and more.”
The gallery is now hosting an exhibit displaying the artworks created through December 22.
