What We Do
Our designated outreach team promotes information to high school students, parents, faculty, and the community about the value of a lifelong education. We work to ensure Cuesta College is presented as a viable higher education option for all those who are interested, including those who may not have prior knowledge of or experience with us.
Our goals are to:
- Provide timely information about the college, its policies, and procedures for admissions and enrollment.
- Provide support, assistance, guidance and resources for potential and current students to meet their higher education aspirations.
- Inform the community about Cuesta College and its programs and benefits through presentations, personal contact and mailings.

We'll Help Get You There
Cuesta College offers a wide range of exciting and valuable programs. Our staff is always looking for ways to reach potential students and assist them in their educational journey, including:
- Traveling to high schools to inform students about enrollment and the education options Cuesta College can provide.
- Conducting outreach to community organizations and local businesses to share information about Cuesta College’s degree and continuing education programs that fit all schedules and budgets.
- Participating in regional college fairs, career days, and high school events to showcase Cuesta College as an excellent choice for quality, value, and diversity.
Campus Tours
Prospective students and their supporters are invited to take a guided or self-guided tour of Cuesta College’s beautiful San Luis Obispo campus. These tours begin in the Student Services Center, Bldg 3100.
- Tours last approximately 30 minutes and require a reservation.

Outreach Request
If you would like the outreach team’s assistance in spreading the word about a program or offering, or you have an event you wish for us to attend, please fill out the form linked below. Note, we request at least one month's advance notice and submission of a request form is not a guarantee of attendance by Cuesta College – though we will do our best to accommodate. Please note, this form is only meant for High School Counselors or Guidance Counselors.
