Cash Gifts

A gift of cash can be in the form of a personal check, credit card, cash, or cashier's check. Additionally, if you prefer to make your contribution using an automatic payment system (ACH), our Foundation office can assist you in setting this up. This automatic payment system allows you to spread your annual contribution over twelve months with automatic monthly transfers from your bank directly to the Cuesta College Foundation.

Many employers will match your contribution through their charitable gift program. Remember to ask your employer if they offer a matching charitable gift program.

Monthly Recurring Gifts

Set up automatic monthly donations to create steady support for students throughout the year. You can change the timing or amount online at any time.

Popular monthly levels:

$25/month - Textbooks and supplies for students in need
$50/month - Emergency assistance fund
$100/month - Scholarship support

Appreciated Stocks, Bonds, and Real Estate

Significant tax savings may be available to you by giving appreciated stock. You avoid capital gains tax on the increase in value of the stock, and you can receive a charitable tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock at the time the gift is made.

The Foundation accepts gifts of property. Significant tax savings may be possible by donating a residence, vacation home, farm, acreage, or vacant land.

Donor Advised Funds

Make a gift to the Cuesta College Foundation through your donor-advised fund (DAF). DAF gifts provide tax benefits while supporting student success.

Note: DAF donations cannot fulfill pledges or provide personal benefits to the donor.

Honor and Memorial Gifts

Celebrate or remember someone special while supporting students. We will send a card to your honoree or their family acknowledging your thoughtful gift.
