UC majors and programs have a heavy focus on developing strength in theory, research and analysis.

Designated as California’s primary academic research institution, the UC provides internships and study abroad programs to provide students with practical job training to supplement the academic theoretical training. Programs are good preparation for students who plan to enter graduate or professional programs. Types of degrees awarded include Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate (PhD), and professional (Law, Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary, Business/Management). Click here for UC admissions statistics.

UC TAG

Some UC campuses offer a guaranteed admission to community college students who meet specific requirements through the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program. To get started on the TAG process, use the Transfer Admission Planner (TAP) to enter their coursework (completed and planned) from the very beginning of their college career. The planner helps students track their progress toward meeting UC's minimum requirements, and allows UC staff to communicate important information to prospective transfer students.
