Italian Mediterranean Diet Cooking & Coaching Seminar
The Mediterranean Diet (Medi-diet) is more than just a way of life. It is a combination of consuming a range of high-quality fresh meals and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Diet comes from the Greek term (díaita) that means "lifestyle", which indicates that numerous aspects of our lives are included, and it is not a "don't do it" diet.
It teaches us how to live our lives in the most enjoyable manner possible and how to approach the years ahead wisely and in good health.
After 50 years of research, it has been proved that the benefits range from lowering the risk of obesity and battling cardiovascular disease to relieving aging discomforts by the easy implementation of few fundamental rules.
In the simplest terms, following the Mediterranean diet can help you live a better life while improving your health.
The full session will consist in 4 seminars:
1) April 10 - Medi-diet, what is the correct definition and when was it born; a brief history, the pillars and the pyramid and what it all means.
2) April 17 - Why the Medi-diet is good for our health, helping specially with CVD and other metabolic diseases held by Dr. Mark Stilphen, endocrinologist
3) April 24 - &
4) May 1 - will be a practical demonstrations on how to apply some Medi-diet principles to nutrition, through multiple cooking lessons.

Michele (“mee-keh-leh” “mee-kay-lay”) or “Michael” is an Italian man who has travelled the world, is keen on food & wine, has learned from many different cultures, and now has settled in California. He holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry, is a Certified Life Coach and has graduated in the Culinary Arts. An enthusiastic, skilled Italian cook, he is an expert in the Mediterranean Diet, a proven healthy, tasty and above all enjoyable lifestyle. He is committed to achieving the “Zero food waste” goal. He believes that what we eat, drink, and do are the keys for us to live a better and longer life, and this happens by learning how to choose the best ingredients, about the cooking process, and growing our knowledge and awareness. As he likes to say: “hands-on-cooking is one of the best therapy”...then putting this saying into practice with authentic, simple, delicious recipes. |
